Review by hotel critic
During my recent three-day stay at Anglesea House, I found an interesting balance between luxury and value that travelers, especially those interested in wine, would appreciate. Located in the heart of Renwick, it's a prime spot for easy access to nearby wineries, meaning you can leave your car behind and take advantage of the free bicycles they provide-a significant cost-saving perk for wine tasting excursions. The property itself is quite spacious, offering a tastefully decorated sitting area and a lovely garden where we enjoyed some leisurely card games. The room's amenities, including a comfortable terrace and well-equipped tea and coffee facilities, added to the homely feel. I also appreciated the heating, as evenings can get quite chilly. Breakfast was substantial and served at our convenience, which was a great way to kick-start the day. The fact that it's included in the price, along with complementary Wi-Fi and free parking, made the overall experience feel more economical. It's essential to note, however, that amenities like the laundry and ironing facilities are available but are paid services. If you prioritize location and the convenience of local attractions, Anglesea House offers excellent value for your money. I'd consider returning if I'm in the area again.
